WORK EXPERIENCE

EMPOWER EDUCATION. 2 hrs per wk. 10, 11  Empowering the students of Green Hill Primary School in Uganda through providing education about psychology and the  importance of mental health.

President of Mental Health Committee

• Led members in brainstorming new curriculum

• Fundraised hundreds of dollars to buy necessary equipment for the school

• Created several booklets covering psychology concepts

ACADEMIC AVENGERS. 2 hrs per wk. 10, 11, 12  This is a non profit organization dedicated to tutoring underprivileged students in local communities in different subjects of  math to improve their academic performance and access to education

• Led monthly club meetings with other members to discuss new opportunities for the club and welcoming new tutors  • Tutored multiple students in areas of math such as Algebra and Geometry

SAIL TUTOR. 4 hrs per wk. 11  A tutoring organization dedicated to helping elementary school students in low-income communities.  Head Tutor

WILDCAT TRIBUNE. 5 hrs per wk. 9, 10, 11  I was the Features Editor of Dougherty Valley High School’s newspaper, the Wildcat Tribune for 2 years. This means I am in  charge of designing the features page every issue which highlights important school events through digital art and writing.  Features Editor

• Wrote numerous articles for the Wildcat Tribune, including sports profiles, editorials, investigation stories, etc.

• Led the designing of the Features page of the Wildcat Tribune every issue

• Managed and led meetings to discuss brainstorming for the Features page

UCLA POLITICAL SCIENCE SUMMER INSTITUTE.

• Attended 3-week UCLA Program on American Politics

• Conversed with UCLA alumni in fields such as law, technology, and social work.

MOCK TRIAL. 3 hrs per wk. 16 wks. 11, 12

This is a school competitive club that competes with other schools through having “mock” trials with a prosecution and  defense.

• In 2024-2025 attended 2 competitions, represented the plaintiff in both competitions.
