EXPERIENCE
Volunteer at Mini-horse Rescue- Sept. 2023- July 2024
My job was to walk the horses, feed them, and get them water. Also to bathe them and care for all of their needs. I also did whatever was asked of me by the owner to help out at the barn.
Various Jobs as Needed – Fall 2022 until present
I find people who need jobs done on Next-door and then help them. For example, I regularly help an older couple move heavy objects, sort books, get organized…I help however I am needed.
Swim Instructor through Town of Danville- Summer 2025
I taught kids ages 2-13 how to swim. My first concern was always safety and then to have fun while learning a valuable life-saving skill. I had to be creative, solution-oriented and communicate effectively with both the parents and the kids. It was a great experience that I enjoyed very much.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Charitable work with family and as an NCL member — 2018 until 2024
Since elementary school I have participated in community service work with my family. Sometimes it is just picking up trash on the road near our house, or at our school’s playground on the weekends. Other times it is serving the underprivileged people bags of food at the Monument Crisis Center or making backpacks for kids who don’t have supplies. I have logged in over 100 hours of community service in the last 2 years alone.
EDUCATION
Monte Vista High School, Danville, CA—Anticipated graduation 2027
At school my favorite class is AP English and AP Psych. In my free time I enjoy reading books. I am an active participant in my Women’s Lit Club at school.
SPORTS
I enjoy horseback riding. It is great because I get to be with the horses and friends at the barn. I also played a year of soccer at Monte Vista high school.
