About the Company

The SeaNet Vision is a Silicon Valley–based climate initiative led by Russ Walsh, an
engineer, entrepreneur, and author with more than four decades of experience working
with over 100 major technology companies, including Facebook, Apple, IBM, General
Electric, and Google. SeaNet Vision’s mission is to address the growing threat of sea-
level rise through large-scale systems thinking—redirecting excess ocean water into
newly created inland lakes, seas, and canals in arid regions. Without meaningful
intervention, long-term scientific projections suggest sea levels could rise by more than
200 feet, potentially displacing up to one-third of humanity and wiping out many coastal
regions and entire island nations. SeaNet Vision aims to help prevent this outcome
while creating new freshwater resources, ecosystems, and economic opportunities for
billions of people across the globe – for this generation and for future generations.
