Platform Role Disclaimer

CoGo City is a technology platform that connects students, parents, neighbors, businesses, mentors, and other users for educational, entrepreneurial, volunteer, and work-related opportunities. CoGo City is not an employer, staffing agency, labor provider, contractor, broker, agent, or representative of any user of the platform.

CoGo City does not supervise, direct, control, monitor, or guarantee the quality, legality, timing, safety, or suitability of any project, job, service, communication, or interaction between users.

All projects, services, employment opportunities, transactions, and interactions are solely between the participating users.

Independent Contractor & Employment Disclaimer

Users understand and agree that CoGo City does not employ students or other service providers listed on the platform.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed to create any partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, or contractor relationship between CoGo City and any user.

Users are solely responsible for determining their own compliance with any applicable local, state, and federal laws, including laws relating to:

• youth employment
• independent contracting
• permits
• taxes
• wages
• workplace safety
• insurance
• work-hour restrictions
• parental consent requirements

Parents & Minors

If you are under the age of 18, you may use the platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are solely responsible for supervising minors using the platform and evaluating the safety and appropriateness of any project, employer, neighbor, business, or interaction.

Assumption of Risk

Users understand that interactions arranged through the platform may involve online communications, in-person meetings, transportation, physical activity, tools, equipment, private residences, businesses, or other risks.

By using the platform, users voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in projects, services, jobs, communications, and interactions arranged through the platform.

Release of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COGO CITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, DAMAGE, CLAIM, DISPUTE, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, NEGLIGENCE, MISCONDUCT, HARASSMENT, ASSAULT, CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, OR OTHER INCIDENT ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO:

• USER INTERACTIONS;
• PROJECTS OR SERVICES;
• EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES;
• PAYMENTS;
• IN-PERSON MEETINGS;
• TRANSPORTATION;
• COMMUNICATIONS;
• OR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

USERS RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS COGO CITY, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM USER ACTIVITIES OR INTERACTIONS.

Background Checks & Verification Disclaimer

CoGo City may offer optional identity verification, ratings, reviews, or background checks. However, no screening or verification process can guarantee user safety or prevent all risks.

CoGo City does not guarantee the identity, honesty, trustworthiness, qualifications, licensing, or conduct of any user.

Payments & Stripe Disclaimer

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe. CoGo City is not a bank, money transmitter, escrow company, or financial institution.

Processing times, payout timing, holds, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and payment availability may be subject to third-party provider policies.

CoGo City does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free payment processing services.

User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• engage in unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, abusive, fraudulent, or harassing behavior;
• request or perform illegal services;
• misrepresent identity, qualifications, age, or experience;
• circumvent platform payments or safety systems;
• use the platform for dangerous or prohibited activities.

CoGo City reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time for safety, legal, or policy concerns.

No Guarantee Disclaimer

CoGo City does not guarantee:

• that users will receive jobs, projects, or income;
• that employers will find suitable candidates;
• the quality or completion of services;
• payment collection from users;
• the availability of opportunities;
• or uninterrupted platform access.

Dispute Resolution Between Users

CoGo City is not responsible for resolving disputes between users. Users are encouraged to attempt to resolve disputes directly.

CoGo City may, but is not obligated to, assist with dispute resolution at its sole discretion.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COGO CITY’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
(A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID TO COGO CITY IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR
(B) $100 USD.

Class Action Waiver

Users agree that any disputes shall be brought solely in an individual capacity and not as part of any class action or representative proceeding.

California Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles.
